Our Testimonies!

I think there are a lot of friends of ours (some who we know and some we do not) who are not members of our religion but who look at our blog because they are interested in Josh and his running. This post is for you! We are members of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints (aka: Mormon). We are thankful for your support and that you care about us and in Josh’s success as an athlete.
As amazing as his running career is and as fun as it is to keep updated with his success in that field we want people to know us by our faith in God and by our religion because that is where all our success derives from. We encourage you to find out more about our faith and we testify of its truthfulness. We are who we are and have the success we do because of God the Father and His Son, Jesus Christ.
There are so many things we could bear testimony of and so many things we feel profoundly strong about but the main things we would like you to know are that we believe in God the Father and in His Son Jesus Christ. We know Them and love Them. We believe in the Bible and in the Book of Mormon, and testify of the joy they bring when read and followed by obedience to their teachings and to the laws of God.
We believe in the family unit and know that it was organized by God for our happiness and success as individuals and as a nation. I testify that being a mother is the most profound calling a woman can have. There is no greater joy than that of the home and family.
We believe in virtue and pray for a return to virtue in our families and our country! “Virtue ‘is a pattern of thought and behavior based on high moral standards.’ It encompasses chastity and moral purity. Virtue begins in the heart and in the mind. It is nurtured in the home. It is the accumulation of thousands of small decisions and actions.”–Elaine S. Dalton.
We testify that these things will bring you joy and happiness in your life. These things are true- we know it and pray that these principles will be important to you. We love God and His Son, Jesus Christ. We know They live and love us. We believe that when the laws and commandments of God are followed by obedience that is where the greatest source of peace and joy are established. Again, we testify of the truth of our religion and invite you to come to know of its truths and to feel the joy that will come to you and your family because of it.

Josh and Jenna-you're great!
never thought to put our testimony on our blog-what a wonderful idea!
don't mind if I snag that one do ya? :)
hey, got your card in the mail Saturday and I about cried-to think that people outside of my family think that way about Jeff and I is so comforting and inspiring too-we certainly don't feel put together or any of the other nice things you said-but thank you for saying them, it lifted Jeff and I up immensely!
you two are a wonderful example to us-of how we hope all of our kids will someday turn out.
Jeff and I may not be able to have the "perfect" Mormon life, but we do have the perfect LDS testimoy due to our trials and blessings-
and guess what? you two are counted as some of our blessings-knowing you and having had Josh as our HT is GREAT!!
give that little cutie Logan a hug from us
have a great first Christmas with him and take lots of pix-it will be like magic!
hugs
Fawn and Jeff
