The latest...

Today I had my "last" doctors apt. It turns out that I am STILL the same as I have been the past 2 weeks (50% effaced, 1 cm dilated). My doctor set an apt. for me to be induced and both Josh and I thought that she would set it up for some time this week. Wrong! I won't be induced until the 6th of November! I'm supposed to go in on the 5th at 8pm and they will give me something to help soften the cervix, I will spend the night in the hospital and then the following morning they will induce me. I was of course disappointed with having to wait another week, but as it turns out it will work out best. Josh and I decided that it is best for him to go ahead and run the NYC Marathon this Sunday. I know, we're crazy and trust me I HATE the thought of having him gone for even a minute right now but he's getting paid to show up, he won't have to go to Japan in December and do a marathon, he will have the holidays "off", and he won't have to leave me and a brand new little baby at home. Now our prayers are totally changing! We have been begging for Logan (There you have it. That's his name!) to come early and now we are pleading, begging, and praying endlessly that he will wait a while longer! =) It's amazing how quickly things can turn around. So now pray that Logan will hibernate a little longer and that he won't be 100 lbs! (PS. My mom is coming up while Josh is away so I won't be alone, in case we really do get some action this weekend.)

Oh Jena i bet there's a good chance that Logan (love it!!!) will come on his own before that! FYI...Aiden's b-day is Nov. 6th and my due date with Halie was Nov. 1st and she was born on the
8th so it's a good time for him to come. By the way did I tell you how tiny you are? Wow you look amazing.

You look amazing! I can totally relate as I am ready to have this baby but my doctor will not take him out until Nov 14th! He is already 8 lbs?? Crazy! Hang in there and good luck - you are going to be a fantastic mom!

I'm glad your mom is coming and I will pray my hardest that Logan stays in the oven! It sounds like NYC is the best thing right now. But, I am sorry you have to wait another week! I was hoping you would be at girls night out tonight and I thought (when I didn't see you) maybe she's in labor... You were missed and keep us all updated if any news arises!

You really do look fantastic- I almost don't like you a little... I really am a big believer in "incubation" (as much as I hate going over the due date) but there's a reason some take longer. Both my boys have been long incubaters- ridin' out the Mommy motel stay as long as possible. Good luck! I wish you a great delivery.

Oh Jena, Just pray that he comes on his own. Getting your cerivx softend is the worst part of the whole delivery. You look amazing!! Good luck with everything can't wait for pictures.

good luck with the delivery, it's actually kinda fun. Ha ha, just kidding!... and josh good luck at NYC! You're going to have to teach Logan to like older women with "solid" quads.

well at least you know now that there is a date set, unless the little guy does decide to come early. getting you cervix softened really isn't that bad at all, i couldn't feel a thing when they did it for me. i know that you are terribly uncomfortable, but do take this time to get plenty of rest. you will need it after the baby comes. oh and love the name logan, that is one of my nephews names.
