My parents got to come up this weekend and spend some time with us. The time went by way too fast. We were all secretly hoping that the baby would come while they were still here. We even tried driving on bumpy roads to see if that would encourage labor but to no avail. While they were here we went to Hood River and picked out tons of apples for apple sauce, pies, etc....We also went to a Harvest Festival where they had lots of crafts and food. I LOVE the fall- it is one of my favorite times of year and to be in Hood River where you are out in the middle of the country is so refreshing. I love seeing farmland and all the fall trees turning colors. Ah! Being out there and having my parents here helped take my mind off of having the baby. He is ALL I can think about. I was reading in a Parents magazine about ADD and they say that in girls it goes undiagnosed a lot because they don't act up a lot but they just have a really hard time concentrating and focusing,etc...So I have since diagnosed myself with ADD because literally the only thing I can focus on is the baby. I would say that 97% of my thoughts throughout the day are on him. Josh and I will try to sit down and read our scriptures in the morning together and I can't even make it through a verse without somehow having my thoughts wander back to the bun in my oven. Hopefully my brain will be able to refocus once he's born! =)

Holy crap, Jena, is that your belly button in the first pic? It's like the size of an orange. You are too cute!

I hate to inform you that no, your brain will not be able to refocus once you've had a baby, because then you'll be sleep deprived and WAY hormonal, and did you know, your brain literally shrinks when you're pregnant?! You will just have to come to accept the fact that you now have a mommy brain. :) It's a good thing, I promise! Good luck with the delivery! I can't wait to see your little one!

Are you trying to make me jealous??? Just kidding... I went to the last 8 Harvest Festival's and although they are all the same, they're still fun! I'm glad you guys had a good time. Maybe you guys will want to move to "the hood" someday?

And once you have the baby, you will have even more to think about. But, you will be able to function and focus. I'm so glad you are so excited to be a mother. I love motherhood and I'm so thankful I have children. At Time Out For Women this past weekend a speaker talked aout baren women in the scriptures and although they had children eventually, there are those that never get to experience motherhood in this life and I am so grateful that I am not one of them or that I don't have to wait until I'm older.

Is your Mom going to come back when the baby boy comes?

It is super fun to have family come and visit, but don't you always get a little sad after they leave? The next day is always kinda tough for me and the kids.
