I'm in love!!!

Hello one and all! Oh how I have missed you! Thank you all for your love and support and insanely sweet comments- we appreciate it so much. I'm going to try and write this without balling my eyes out (for joy)! I cannot begin to tell you how in love I am with Logan and how amazing life has been the past few days. I have never been so happy in my whole life. I give motherhood a huge thumbs up! Where do I begin...?
First off, being induced and then the birth process went amazingly well. My body progressed a lot quicker than they anticipated and I was fully dilated within 14 hours or so. We thought that since my body progressed so quickly that I wouldn't have to push for that long....Wrong! I ended up pushing for 3 hours! I'm not going to lie- that part was very difficult (the epidural had pretty much worn off by that point), but once they put Logan on my chest I literally forgot about all the pain. And ever since then I have been on cloud nine. I can't thank Heavenly Father enough for everything. How much I love Logan and how happy he has made me is beyond any joy I thought was possible.
Logan has adjusted really well to life at home. He is a good eater and a good sleeper...although he won't sleep anywhere but with me! At this point that's all I want anyways so it's working out. The fact that I hardly get any sleep at all doesn't bother me a bit. That was one of the things I was worried most about but I'm just so happy that I could care less. He is my new best friend- we do everything together and I'm having a really hard time not being selfish and sharing him with my family and friends. =) Again, I can't even tell you how happy I am/ we are. I was nervous about so many different things before he came but now that he's here life just couldn't be better...literally! Josh is an amazing dad & has so much fun with Logan. He loves holding him and is so helpful to me....he even changes Logan's diapers!
Thanks again for all your comments! We can't wait for all of you to meet our little guy. I can't stress enough how sweet it is to be a mom. I have always wanted to be a mom- that has always been my dream and I can't believe I am living it! I am so thankful as women we get to be the nurturers- it is the best! I'm in love!

I'm so glad that you are doing so well, the pictures of him are adorable. He is so cute. I know exactly how you feel about motherhood, I feel that motherhood is the only thing I was meant to do in this life. Being a mother is a wonderful calling our Heavenly Father gives to us. Cherish every moment because as sad as it is they really do grow up so fast. It seemed like it was only yesterday since Olivia was born and it is over two years ago. Good luck with everything sounds like you are doing marvelous.

I am so glad you are on cloud 9. Some readers will think or even try to tell you it will wear off, the lack of sleep will get to you, etc,... (not to be a pessimist). But, I am still on cloud 9 with Ryley (7 months) and Maisey (5)! If you have such a great attitude now in the beginning, you always will. I love babies and I love the instant gratification they give you when you nurture them. It isn't selfish really because we are teaching our children love, from the momment of conception and by loving them, we are loved back. I don't say all this because I am a mother, but being a doula and after working for some time as a postpartum doula, I have seen emotions an attitudes of all kinds. And you Jena, YOU light up my heart because. I feel your joy too when I 'read' your excitement. If you ever need any help, don't hesitate to call. We are practically neighbors- but I'd drive hours (and sometimes do) to help a new mother. Sometimes feedings go well at first and then they grow or teethe and you slide back... I would love to help be your support when your family is unavailable. I LOVE babies- and motherhood! Thank you for the reminder ofmy emotions as a 'first' time parent- it can be undescribable.

Oh my goodness, he has the sweetest little face ever! I love it! Isn't it amazing how as soon as they are born you can't imagine how you ever got along in life without them. It just feels like they always should've been there and you've known them forever.

Oh goodness Jena! He is so precious! Your gonna be such a good mommy! The feeling you had when they first laid him in your arms is something you'll never forget. I remember thinking that it felt like magic. Your pushing, pushing, no baby, pushing, then Waa! All of sudden theres a baby! Congratulations!!!!!!!!!! I can't wait to have another baby!
