NYC Marathon & More Pregnancy Updates!

We made it! I didn't have the baby while Josh was away!! My mom & I were successfully lazy and relaxed the entire weekend- doing nothing but watching movies, scrapbooking, playing games, and more relaxing! Thank you mom for being here to look after me. And as for the time table with having Logan....we are still set up to go in tomorrow night and then be induced Thursday morning! So if all goes well and as planned we should be holding him in about 48 hours. Yahoo! I'm a bit giddy about it really.

Josh did amazing in his race. He came in 7th overall and was the 2nd American in. He ran a time of 2:14:23, which equals about 5:07 per mile- INSANE! We are so thankful for how things worked out. It is hard that I will be nearly 10 days over due but the fact that he is done with the marathon and now just gets to spend time with me & Logan is such a blessing. He only has a few days a year that he doesn't have to be training and this week we hit a few of those days, which is perfect!

Stay tuned for pictures of Logan in a few short days! =)

Nice job Josh! I am so glad that everything has worked out! Andrea and Aubrey both had their little boys this week, I kept thinking "poor Jena, she was due before them! :-) " But I am glad it has all worked out this way for you. I am so excited to see little Logan!

What a man that Josh is!! I am so amazed at how well he did! AND that baby Logan co-operated & waited for his Daddy! May he always be so obedient! Just for your info...I was 10 days to 2 wks late with every one of my babies (except the one I lost)...so I feel your pain! Good luck Thursday!! Looking forward to pics!

Oh, Good luck! You have such a positive attitude about being over due and that great attitude will really help you in your postpartum period with everything! There are lots of people you can call on for help in this young, close ward and I am one of them. Enjoy your last few days childless and enjoy the birth of what I know will be a beautiful little boy!

I am sooo happy with the way everything worked out - even though I'm sure it's been awfully hard for you. But how great that you'll all get to bond as a family without so many interruptions now! And, by-the-way, GREAT JOB JOSH!!! I knew you were going to do awesome!!!!!

YAY for babies coming!!! Jena - you will be fantastic. i apologize I haven't emailed you in response to your comment -- congratulations on making it through the last few weeks because as you know, they are ridiculously hard and seem too unfair. but you did it girl! Being induced was a great experience for me, everything went smoothly and with the blessed epidural, I didn't feel a thing. Labor is definitely named correctly because it was stinkin' hard to get Charlie out once I was pushing, but I'll tell you, once Logan is in your arms, nothing else matters and you'll be willing to do it all over again...with a bit of a break in between, of course:) Godd luck and have fun -- I'll be thinking of you!!!

Jena I can't believe it is finally here. I'm so excited for you and to see those cute pictures of little Logan. You will do awesome, no matter how hard it gets. It is totally worth it. When moms say that they don't remember the pain, it is so true. Good luck and I'll be thinking of you. Make sure you and Josh have lots of stuff to do because it can get a little boring getting induced in the beginning. GOOD LUCK!

So..you go in tonight!!! I don't know if you will read this in time, but I just wanted to drop by your blog to say congratulations in advance, and we will be praying for you. I am sure you have already done this, but be sure to ask Josh for a blessing before you go. It helps a lot!!!

Josh

Congratulations. Both on the marathon and the new kid. Pretty exciting couple of days for you. The only down side is that you wore arm warmers and I couldn't tell whether it was you or Ryan Hall in those pictures.

p.s. I am so happy I found your blog, now I can give you crap all the time.
