Here are a few pictures of the Nike house that we are living in. You're probably wondering what the heck this first picture is even of! Well...let me explain...this would be an ice bath, along with an ice machine. The bath is located right across from our dining room table. Imagine that! Needless to say this is a house built for runners. You can see Josh's head pocking out of the tub. It is a huge eye sore but Josh loves it and it definitely helps to have it at home.

This picture was taken from our living room window. This would be the great, massive city of Portland. It's especially pretty at night with all the city lights, but I have to confess that I'm having some what of a difficult time adjusting to living in a big city. I'm sorely afraid to drive because I feel like as soon as I get out of the drive way I am going to die. Too many cars and not enough space. Other than that all is well here and we are loving it.

This is our house!! Things are starting to look really nice, but can I tell you how trashed this place was just a few days ago? It turns out that it wasn't empty and that there were a few college guys living here....and as you can imagine they don't care too much about managing a house. We still have a ton of work to do, but we've had a number of set backs. We actually are still living with two of the guys....long story! They were planning on giving us a welcome home party and so there was a ton of beer in our fridge and a keg (sp?) in our living room. Did they not know we were coming from Utah? It's been really funny to explain that we don't drink beer or coffee or tea, etc...It makes for good missionary opportunities, right? To add to all the madness Josh's coach had a heart attack on Saturday and is still in the hospital. He is recovering really well and is supposed to be released from the hospital this coming Saturday. Josh was with him when it happened and was the one who had to run and call 911.

One of the guys who is living with us still is named Dennis and he is from Kenya. He is an elete marathoner and one of the nicest guys you could meet. He has seen how hard we've been working the past few days and told me yesterday, "You white people work like Africans! You go and go and go. There are only two types of people who work hard in America- people from Utah and Mexicans!" We all got a kick out of that one.

There is so much more to be said and I have lots of other pictures to post, however, they are on my sisters camera and she isn't left to go to Utah. I will post them as soon as she can get them to me. We are loving it here, but it is a huge adjustment.

Sounds like lots of fun. I hope things go well in Portland for you and that you can stand living with other guys for a little bit. You are so cute, Heather
