3 Months!

Shaffer is already 3 months old. I can hardly believe how fast the time has gone.

I thought it would be fun to put a picture of Logan when he was 3 months old too- so the first one is of Logan and the 2nd is Shaffer. I definitely think they look a lot alike but they also have their differences.

Shaffer isn't as active as Logan was. I have kept a journal for both boys and written a paragraph for each day, and I was looking back at Logan's and by this time we had bought a jumper for him because he loved to jump and bounce. We just set it up again and Shaffer has zero interest in the thing.
Shaffer is a really happy baby and smiles all the time now. He smiles really easily for us and has even started to try and laugh. He still sleeps a fair amount throughout the day, and thankfully is sleeping better at night. I still wake up 2-3 times to feed him throughout the night, which isn't too bad. I know one day I will get more sleep....(I hope)!
Shaf doesn't really like tummy time, and frankly I forget to give it to him because the second he is on the floor Logan is walking all over him. Logan is still so little that honestly he just doesn't realize that Shaffer is a living being that has feelings; therefore, if Shaffer is on the floor he gets trampled. It's as if Logan thinks that Shaffer is just part of the carpet. I have to point out that there actually is a little baby on the ground that he just walked on. It's a work in progress.

Life is really good with the two boys. I fall more and more in love with them every day. I ache for sleep and sometimes feel so tired I could cry (like every day), but that's the price you pay to have cute kids, and I'd take them any day over a few extra hours of sleep. I'm trying to enjoy my time with Shaffer at night instead of getting frustrated every time he wakes up and needs to be fed. It's hard because you're so tired, but I've tried to look at it as time for us to bond and for me to be able to hold and cuddle him with no distraction. It makes the nights much more pleasant that way.

Speaking of sleep...Logan is down. Shaffer is down. Maybe I should try to catch a few winks.

I love how you have them in the same outfit - they definitely look like brothers, adorable!

Jena, you have to give me the recipes for the food you brought over - it was amazing! Thanks again, you're the sweetest :)
