Book talk.

Oh, where do I start?

How could I possibly recommend this enough?

I honestly can't even explain it in a way that would do justice.

How about this?

I think it's better than Twilight.

Do I dare say that?

It has a romantic edge and twist to it; what girl doesn't love that? It is an adventure and just all-around AMAZING. It sounds awful because it actually has a gladiator theme to it, but don't let that scare you- there is SOOOO much more to it than blood and gore (who would love that?). Better than Twilight folks- that should get you pumped.

(It's actually hard to compare the two because their story lines are just so different but honestly, I think they are equally good, but I have enjoyed this a lot since the whole Twilight thing has been going on for a while now.)

Holy shenanigans, are you in LOVE?! I have to admit, it is right up there with Twilight. And I totally want Peeta now. I'm dying for the 3rd one.
So glad to hear you read it! I felt like a loner...

They really are the very best books I've read in a long while- and I read a lot! They blast Twilight out of the water. I don't think anyone can say that Meyers' writing is good, she just had a good, addictive story. Collins has a great story AND amazing writing! ...And her heroine isn't whiny!

How's that for blasphemy?!

Okay. You won me over when you said they're better than the Twilight series. I just ordered the first off of Amazon.com. I'll get back to you after I read it. :)

I've read them and loved them! What's interesting about these books is that guys actually like them. After some pushing from my sister-in-law, my brother read them. Now all the guys are getting into them. I read them to Dustin on a trip and he was hooked. I think there is just enough violence and romance to appeal to both sexes.

SERIOUSLY???? Gladiators????? I love that there has to be violence for men to get into the books, and certainly romance for women to get hooked.

I am not a vampire freak, nor am I into aliens, but that didn't stop me from loving the Meyer books. I'll just have to trust all you guys on this Hunger Games.

Okay I have read the first book and have yet to read the second. I need too. I loved Hunger Games, it is so engrossing, I couldn't keep my nose out of it. I think tomorrow I will go and get the other one.

Well, I have to say that (and don't hate me)... it wouldn't take much to be better than Twilight ;) I am just not a huge fan. I might be in the minority here and could get shamed.

These do sound interesting though. Maybe I will check them out! I need a fiction break from all of the non-fiction I have been reading.
