Part of Christmas Break

Sometimes (like right now) blogging can be pretty overwhelming. I have so much to catch up on and so little time, so instead of writing a short novel I'm just going to be short and quick and try not to get carried away.
To start things off, we made yummy cookies at home. I may or may not have eaten them all within 2 days.
This has been the face and temperament of my little baby for the past 2 months. Thankfully he is actually healthy right now, but it doesn't seem to last too long before he gets hit again with another illness. =( Poor baby! It's amazing what a difference it makes to feel good and healthy. He is an absolute peach to be around when he feels good.
We got to stay in a hotel in SLC for the first few days of our Christmas break. We had quality time with my parents, my brother Travis and my sister, Jessi and her hubby, Richard!
We went to see a few plays, ate yummy food, swam, ran, watched movies, looked at the Temple Square lights.....It was fantastic!

Papa Lynn splurged and bought Logan this Panda hat, which he would not take off for a full 24 hours. He has this thing for Panda bears, so as you can imagine he was pretty excited about this hat.
We spent 1 1/2 weeks in Logan, UT with my family. It was so nice to be with everyone (minus Brad and Molly because she was due with baby Saige). We did all sorts of fun things- saw more plays, ate more delicious food, watched more movies, went snow boarding (which was awesome!!!), did P90X, played with my boys, went rock wall climbing, made ornaments, made a really cool wreath, ate tons of chocolate, etc...
Christmas day was really fun. Logan and Shaffer are still really young and don't understand the whole present-opening thing, but they were really happy with their new toys! They got spoiled!

Uncle TY! Aren't they so cute? It was so fun to see TY and Alan. Unfortunately they didn't get to stay for very long but we soaked up the time that we did have.
Jessi and Richard oogled over my boys and made my job so easy. I basically had a 2 week break from motherhood. They are naturals at this baby-tending stuff. =)
Mumsie and Logan. Logan is my cuddle bug. He loves to be held and loved on!
Our little P90X group! I can't tell you how nice it was to have other people to do it with. It made it go by really fast for me. Thankfully Josh is doing it with me for my 2nd time around! I can't tell you how much I love this program. I do miss running, but this works for me right now.

My Uncle Eric and Aunt Shiela were there in Logan with us too, which was tons of fun. They have 2 kids- Julia, who is 10, and Tyler, who is 8. My kids LOOOOOVVVEDDD them. Julia is a natural babysitter/mother, so Shaffer was well taken care of by her. Logan was obsessed with Tyler. I'm not kidding when I tell you that I hardly saw my child because he and Tyler were busy playing all day long. He was devastated when Tyler and Julia left. They were so good with my kids. I seriously contemplated kidnapping them and taking them home with me! ;)

All in all it was a great break. I miss my family like crazy and wish that I had their company back here in Orem. I desperately wish my sister and I lived closer. I dream of the day when we will because it isn't a matter of IF, it's a matter of WHEN. I will use force if necessary. =)
