More on the boys

Logan, Shaffer and I were watching home videos this morning from when Shaffer was only 7 weeks old. I cannot believe how they have changed (...and how much it makes me want a baby). Since when did they become toddlers and not babies? It makes me realize how fast time really does fly by, and how I need to hang on to every second I have with them.
Holding both of them at the same time is getting increasingly difficult. Both of my boys LOVE to be held, and (more often than not) they like being held together. Their favorite thing to do is to have me hold them both, and spin in circles (to the song "Prettiest Girls" by Pharrell, or "Animal" by Neon Trees). It's really fun but I can only hack 2 turns of it and then I see stars for 15 minutes.

Logan is quite the little cheeser and I can't get enough. Josh asked him to smile and this is how he posed. Cute. I know! =)
Shaffer is just now starting to like watching shows. He'll only sit for 5-15 minutes (which is okay with me), but they both giggle with excitement when they can sit together under the covers on our bed and watch "Spook-a-dit" (Despicable Me). Logan gets especially excited and yells "Shay! Shay!! Shay, spook-a-dit." and then he jumps on the bed and snuggles in next to Shay.
Shaffer also likes to feed himself now. On one hand it is wonderful not having to sit there and feed him, but on the other hand it is quite messy and he could use a bath 6 times a day.
More of them snuggling. (I tried to get this picture without them noticing but they noticed the flash...darnit!)
Logan is no where near potty training but in efforts to get him thinking about it I purchased some "Cars" underwear. He was deathly afraid of them, so I attempted to put them on Shay so that if Logan saw that Shaffer was wearing them then it would be cool and he could wear them. It worked once (athough, as you can see, Shaffer was not happy about it in the least), but now they sit in a drawer and Logan likes to get them out, look at the pictures, and then throw them high in the air...over and over and over again. =) If I even attempt to put them on, he says, "No! No! Shay?" and then gestures that I put them on to Shaffer instead. Clever little boy....and new-to-the-potty-training-world-mommy!

Aren't they getting huge? I mean really...am I the only one who thinks this? I don't want them to grow up so fast.

I think they are getting huge! It could be the fact that we don't get to see them anymore. Just wait till our little man arrives and then it will seem really weird. Miss ya guys. Hope all is well.

Ok, can you please tell your boys to STOP growing up??? I still think they are babies and they should be!!! Even though I am sure each new stage comes with tons of fun, news stories, excitement and maybe relief now that they are becoming more independent. I cant believe you can carry them both- your arms must be toned like crazy! More so! My work out goal is to look half-way decent in a swimsuit bu the time our St. George trip comes around. Cant wait to see you in a few weeks!

I love the picture of Shaffer in the undies. The curled toes, the clenched fists, the knitted eyebrows. You can just SEE his frustration! So indignant. I need the cheezer smile of Logan for my 2011 grandbaby book.
